Informacije o Kulturnom centru „Gatalinka“
Najveći dio nastave izvodi voditeljica škole, Blanka Žakula, dipl. oec., istraživačica tradicijske baštine Hrvatske i pokretačica svih projekata KC „Gatalinka.

The cultural center „Gatalinka“ was founded in 1994 as a cultural institution with the aim of giving meaning to projects which are linked to the traditional heritage of Croatia.
„School of folklore“
Most oft he teaching is dedicated to dances and songs from Slavonia, Baranja and Srijem, as well as other parts of Croatia. Beside of that, children are taught according to their talent and interests, to play different kind of musical instruments. Mostly they play all kind of tambura instruments (prim, bassprim, bass, kontra, mandolin, mandola, guitar)but are also taught to play traditional instruments(pipes, samica, dvojnice, svirale). In this way most oft the children learn the note-symbols and dance letter , how to sing and play one or more musical instruments, which makes this school unique in comparing to other schools where they are taught just one of the former mentioned skills. The biggest amount of teaching is performed by Blanka Žakula,dipl.oec., the owner and leading person of exploring and researching the traditional heritage of Croatia as well as the head of all the projects „Gatalinka“ is envolded in.
„Folklore workshops oft he Panonian zone“
Since 1996 the culture center „Gatalinka“ organises „folklore workshops of the Panonian zone“. Workshop lecturers are eminent authorities in the fields of dancing, children plays, ethnology and etnomusicology in Croatia. The attendents oft he workshops are folklore leaders, as well as music teachers from primary and secondary schools from Croatia and abroad. The aim is to connect institutions and individuals, which are in the folklore buisness, as well as the distribution of knowledge to folklore educators and the younger generation.

At the end of every workshop a miscellany of expertly works is published and documented and a video is recorded.
„Etno frizure Hrvatske“
„Ethno Hairstyles of Croatia“
Most oft he traditional hairstyles has died out. This project tries to restore them with the help of research, literature … In the project are folklore experts, ethnologists and hairdressers envolved.
Of great value are hairstyles in the region of Slavonia, Western Srijem and Baranja Area where there were a very complex way of combining plaits out of a lot of small tufts, whereout a flat stripe is made/formed, which rises from the back oft he head to the crown of head or even is layed up to the forehead. The hair from the front part oft he head was combed in diffrenet ways, characteristic for that part oft the region. The hairstyle was completed with flowers, artifical or natural, different kind of ribbons or chains or chains of coins situated over the top of the head.
This kind of hairstyles are very similar to the women portraits of late Roman Empire from the middle of the 3rd to the end oft he 5th century. It is the time when the Roman province called Panonia, defending the boarderline at the river Danube, became very important and where some oft he Roman Empirer were born. The existence of such a hairstyle untill today proves the continuity of life in this area for over than one thousand and seven hundred years. Because of that ,such a way of combing the hair, has a very high value and historical dimension.
There are organised seminars for making traditional hairstyles for the needs of education as well as a competion for gainning the quality in performing of shapes and techniques called „Ethno Hairstyles of Croatia“.
